Code of Conduct

  • First and foremost, Honor God in all that you do. If this rule is kept all the others will fall into place.

  • Respect fellow youth and leaders.

  • Do NOT separate yourself from the group. (i.e., If we are meeting in the fellowship hall, stay in the fellowship hall. This includes Wednesday night suppers. If we are meeting in the sanctuary, stay in the sanctuary. If we are meeting in the youth building, stay in the youth building.)

  • Turn OFF all electronic devices during meetings.

  • Refrain from public displays of affection. This means no sitting on laps, no hanging on each other, no questionable displays of affection. If you are not sure if it is acceptable, then it probably isn’t. You know the difference between a hug among friends and unacceptable behavior.

  • The use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco products will not be allowed in ANY circumstance. If it appears that you have used any of the above prior to coming to any meetings it will be deemed as use and will be treated accordingly.

  • The use of profane and objectionable language will not be tolerated.

Attendance Policy for Trips

  • In order to participate in the Rock Solid Youth mission trips you must:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This is first and
foremost for attending any mission trip.

  • Must attend:
    (3) Sunday Schools per month
    (3) Worship Services per month
    (1) 8 week discipleship class (Offered on Sunday Nights)
    (3) Local mission projects (1 scheduled  per quarter)
    (2) Fund raisers
*Note (3 out of 5) or (2 out of 4) Sunday Schools and
Worship services are required based on the number
             of Sundays in the month.

  • Exceptions for sickness will be permitted. Other exceptions will be handled on a one-on-one basis.

Disciplinary Actions for Violating Code of Conduct

  • First offense – Warning
  • Second Offense – Parents will be notified
  • Third Offense – Parent/youth conference with Pastor Brad or Pastor Troy
  • Counseling Young Adults

  • There will be absolutely NO one-on-one private counseling with the opposite sex, regardless of the situation.
  • If it is necessary to counsel the opposite sex, there must be a youth leader or another adult, preferably one of the same sex as the student.

Trips and Transportation Safety

  • Students are not to drive themselves to/from a ministry event unless 1) they have permission by their parent or 2) he/she meets us at the destination – if they just want to drive when the van is going, the answer is “NO”
  • Students are not to drive other students without permission of the other students’ parents knowing and allowing this.
  • While on the church van, we will only have as many students in seats as there are seatbelts available – no “doubling up” or “squishing together”
