Dear Young Adults and Parents of Young Adults,
As we enter February, the Month of Love, take a minute to let these words of love sink into your heart. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the apostle John penned these words many years ago. “7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” The true source of love is God. As Christians, we are commanded to love one another. In order to do so, we must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. When we allow the Holy Spirit to take control of our life, we can truly love others in a way that pleases God. The greatest act of love ever shown was the love that God displayed in sending His Son to die as a sacrifice for our sins. My challenge this Valentine’s Day is that all Christians ponder the true meaning of love and allow our lives to display the love of God to others. May the Lord bless you as you seek to serve Him.
In Christ,
Pastor Brad
