Dear Young Adults and Parents of Young Adults,

As soon as Christmas is over it seems as though Valentine’s Day has begun.  Although we are just now entering the month of February, we have been bombarded by advertisements for the past month for everything including Valentine’s cards, flowers, candy hearts, chocolate hearts, and even chocolate lips! We live in a society that celebrates Valentine’s Day, where small gifts are exchanged between loved ones.  As we enter February, the Month of Love, I would encourage you to reflect on the greatest love. Scripture says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).  The greatest love and gift that anyone could receive this Valentine’s Day is the free gift of eternal life, which comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Is Jesus Christ Lord of your life?  I pray that joy will fill your soul and the love of Christ fill your hearts this season and forever.
