Dear Young Adults and Parents of Young Adults,
It seems like I just finished writing a newsletter article for July and now I am writing this one for January 2008. Is it true that the older you get, the quicker time goes by? That is something that I have pondered over the past few years. I would have to say that statement is true. It’s sad, but people today are searching for truth. Many times they look in all the wrong places. The problem is you won’t find lasting truth in this world in anything except Christ. That is why Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:18-21). I bring you good news. There is One truth you can always depend on. It is call “The Bible,” God’s Holy Word. God’s Word will never let you down or fail you, it is TRUTH. As a matter of fact Jesus Christ said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). The New Year is filled with resolutions which are often broken after only a few weeks. Why not make a resolution this year to recommit your life to following Jesus Christ, and digging into real truth, found only in the Bible. You can rest assured that He will not break the commitment He has made to you.
In Christ,
Pastor Brad
